Marc Me?

Today i watched 'Marc Jacobs&Louis Vuitton' it's in a documentary style rather than a film that follows Marc Jacobs around, who is arguably the most influential fashion designer in the world. Allowing a very rare insight into his personal design process and the mental state of Marc himself as we see him jetting from designing his own brand in New York to his collaboration with Louis Vuitton In Paris. Following him and his design team working towards every catwalk collection.
I really enjoyed it especially as it completely covered Marc's whole design and thought process of his Spring/summer 2007 collection in collaboration with Louis Vuitton that from the moment i saw it in 07 i completely fell in love with it and is defiantly on my top 5 catwalks of all time and it was just so interesting to see the wide range of things that inspire him from a Chinese artist who covers everything from apples to naked bodies in polka dots to making flowers out of paper from a butchers all things that helped him create this beautiful collection.

It still feels so relevant now, from the amazing flower head wear, layers and layers of beautifully crafted fabric (literally) in a nude and pastel colour pallet, the huge range of handbags that they managed to produce including practical checked shopper totes and not the mention those heel structures!
Defiantly a Must watch, after all...'Its just so Trashion'...:)

Long&Short&Fashion thoughts.

I love the contrast on how short Chloe Sevigney's dress is in comparison to Kate's gorgeous maxi skirt, which i love everything about from the perfect nude colour, the chiffon material the golden satin waistband and the fact shes paired it with a metallic crop top and loose waves that complements everything :)

(Click the pictures to make them bigger :)!)
I'm really liking Charlotte Ronson's Spring 2010 collection at the moment and feel every piece would be so easy to incorporate into any wardrobe, i haven't looked at a collection in a while and thought that i would be able to wear every single piece but Ronson's collection just seems so well thought out and so accessible from the lovely printed high waisted skirts in smudged pastels, studded belts, laid back check shirts and blazers and the perfect sheer and embellished crop tops that are screaming out to be used as layering pieces. I want it all!

I really like big knitwear at the minute from jumpers to cardigans to scarfs, I really like these from Topshop.

I'd pair these cardigans over nude chiffon dress and ditsy florals.
I would layer this jumper over slogan vests and bodycon dresses and gold jewelery, I love this colour too.
I'm defiantly going in to winter dressing mode already, i can never decide which seasons my favourite for dressing as i love layering but also the easiness of just throwing a dress on with bare legs i miss in winter?

Christopher Kane for Topshop is launching this Friday finally at the Oxford street store. How anticipated has this collection been, i have like how the launch date has been kept so top secret. I cant wait to pop down and have a look at the pieces and there is lots of rumours here that he's going to be there throughout the day too, how good would that be! I cant wait to see the Chiffon Key hole dress, i just wish my sister who is just as excited about the launch as i am could come down and see it all :( but i have my new pink camera at the ready!
My First real day at university tomorrow and my freshers MONTH?? starts, I'm Excited :)
Hope everyone's had the best weeks and don't forget to read Post secret today!

Everyone knows my complete love for Erin Wasson and now her collection for RVCA 2010 has come out :) I adore the colour pallet and the easiness she has to every piece just like her own personal wardrobe.
Some favourite pieces are the slogan t-shirts, studded waistcoat and nude loose tank top.

ILoveLondon♥

Today i got the amazing opportunity to go to a Vogue party hosted by Topshop where i met the Fashion Editor for Vogue who is ridiculously gorgeous and had an equally gorgeous french model on her arm, best looking couple i have ever seen :)
They went through the whole Topshop Collection with us, including how to accessorize and even down to hair and then showed us all the Vogue Edits that will be appearing in the magazine for Autumn/Winter.
Jorduan Dunn was there and we were so shocked to see that she was pregnant (has this even been publishised??!) at only 19 but she is so so beautiful and her legs were endless, My lovely friend Lauren managed to quickly take a photo of her on her I-Phone before we got told off!!
Earlier on i also bumped into Joan Rivers whos face just screams Botox Botox Botox!!
We were given lots of free champagne in mini union Jack bottles, chocolates and that new vitamin water which is everywhere at the minute :)
(Jourdan Dunn and the Fashion Editor)
We then walked further down Oxford Street and saw 'Little Boots; doing a D.J set she played lots of classic old pop songs to dance too even though she did look SO bored. The whole of Oxford Street was buzzing with pre fashion week partys and we saw some amazing window displays with real-life models especially in Zara, Selfridges and La Senza.
Earlier on in the day i managed to get a really versatile jersey highwaist skirt from Uniqlo for just £10 and fell in love with a new nude lace dress from Topshop, one of the Vogue Edits i might have to go back back for it tommrow now ive been able to extend my overdraft :)

I love living here, definatly one of my favourites days here so far and hope lots more like it, i cant wait to try and get in to fashion week next week :) Hope everyone is enjoying the last little bits we have left of summer!

Some of the Key pieces Vogue showed and spoke about to be in their editorials this Autumn/Winter

There were so many gorgeous pieces but they werent all on the site for me to show you :( But just think lots of studs, sequins, suede, heavy embellishments with a thrown in mix of checked shirts (with tails :O amazing.) and oversized knitwear.

DIY Rose

Today i wore a HUGE purple flower in my hair, I love things for my hair at the moment, from tiny roses, feathers and jewelled broaches, i think there perfect to place with just a t-shirt dress and leggings for some quirkiness or to clash with floral prints, I cant get enough and there so in-expensive and so easy to make by hand, its about £2 for around 20 rosebuds at my local florist and then about £1 for a packet of Kirby grips... the perfect DIY :)

Today i found a beautiful Trophy blazer in a Charity shop for £5 :O Its black, Chiffon and covered in beaded flowers, Its been so nice and sunny here, I love it!
I am on the hunt for the perfect black faux fur shrug for winter and I cant stop listening to Florence and the Machine's 'Lungs' album, she was defiantly a huge highlight of Leeds's festival for me she looked amazing!

I love This photo of Nicole Richie for Azzaro. I want to wear black lace tommrow.

Wildfox

Wildfox's 2010 lookbook,I love the whole concept of the three Girls all hanging out in ridiculously good outfits and i also love that Allie from the City is modelling, makes me SO excited for the new series, i hope she doesn't stay with Cheater Adam and finally see's sense!!

Jenny Wren

I have been the worst blogger for the past two weeks suddenly life's taken over it's been hectic especially with moving to London, Its my first morning in my new apartment today, Its huge, I love it but already missing home and counting down the days till my bests come and visit me but every thing's all new and exciting :)
I cant wait for Christopher Kane for Topshop collection, Its Huge with 39 pieces including shoes and bags i already have my eye on a gorgeous nude chiffon dress edged with studs and those thigh high boots, with all prices ranging from £40 to £160 i think its defiantly going to be worth my £500 overdraft and with so much too choose from its going to be easy to spend but hard to choose which items!

Melissa Coker’s has hired Alexa Chung and her Best Friend Tennessee Williams (Lead singer from the Like, If you knew is a Favourite ♥) to become the face of her Autumn range of her fashion line 'Wren' named after a Jenny Wren from Charles Dickens her range offers up right-on-trend woollen checks, slouchy blazers, easy mini-skirts that shimmer, the coolest of party dresses and hot pink silks. The label has developed a cult status with celebrity followers such as Kiera Knightly and Katie Holmes and became one of fashion insiders secrets but now especially with the help of Alexa looks as if its only going to get bigger!

Happy Sundays!
